Munich 2016 Pics

Hello Bob, many thanks for posting all the great photos. Any thoughts on the sound in the Thrax room with Helix 1 turntable?

The Thrax/Audio-Union room was pretty incredible sounding in my opinion. The work that Rumen, Tom and company did at installing the "Room within a room" and doing it literally in less than one day was quite remarkable. It really did not matter what source they were playing as the new Thrax speakers with the new 15" self powered woofer section delivered both the type of bass and overall soundstage and sonic performance that you would think would take six months to achieve in a REALLY well built room in your home.

All of the components AND Enklein cables are important variables in the chain but Rumen's attention and hard work to "taking care" of the MOST important variable "the room" payed off in huge dividends regarding overall sonic performance. And aesthetically it was first class all the way.

It did not hurt having Mark Dohmann, the designer of the Helix 1 setting up the TT either. The Helix 1 of course is a top rated and sounding TT, again in imho one of the best out there.

Yes! Done talking about it. Let's do it! It is the Mecca of Audio shows.
I would have been there this year if not for family priorities. Next year I hope to make it and meet up with you guys plus Ed and Hans.

Hello Bob, many thanks for taking the time to provide feedback on this room....much appreciated. Enjoy the rest of the show and look forward to hearing your thoughts on other rooms, especially the Kondo/Kaiser room, new Raidho D4.1 and Magico M3. Other rooms that may be great include the Zellaton room with their new Statement speaker. Thanks again. Cheers.
