The level of performance when separating components in a digital system is next level. Similar to Grandioso. There's a lot to be said for buying a good integrated and being happy with the simplicity of that. A five box DAC (if that is what Sentinal is), together with all the other boxes you need to make a system, is just too complex. Even if I could afford it I wouldn't do it. One box that does it all is very appealing.
Dear MSB,
Congratulations, but please redirect your efforts to something for the rest of us.
Rolls never really did that (unless you consider Bentley, RR's 20th century less expensive luxury brand); MSB has.Have you contacted Rolls-Royce yet and asked them to redirect their efforts in order to make a cheaper car?
They have, it’s called the Discrete with dual PSU’s. NOTHING can touch it for even close to its price point. $15,750 MSRP all in. It beats dcs costing more.Rolls never really did that (unless you consider Bentley, RR's 20th century less expensive luxury brand); MSB has.
The Discrete and the Premier were announced Jan 2018.They have, it’s called the Discrete with dual PSU’s. NOTHING can touch it for even close to its price point. $15,750 MSRP all in. It beats dcs costing more.
And according to MSB, they can’t better them for the same price. The Discrete and the Premier were announced Jan 2018.
Fabulous DAC. I haven’t heard better at its price point. To each their own. I absolutely adore my MSB Premier with DD. I would definitely consider a Cascade if one of my “shot in the dark” investments hits it. I got the Premier as my retirement DAC, and am very happy with it. If I change anything else in my current state, it would be any part of my system other than the DAC.
Great combo!I enjoy the music produced by my Discrete with its two PSUs.
Thanks Mike. I'm using an Innuos Zenith MKIII (?) I'm old, so it's easy to forget which version!) server/streamer and Phoenix as inputs to the MSB. It works for me!Great combo!
