Momentum preamplifier

DD probably expects his dealers making the big margins to be conducting any training required for his pre and amps. For any audiophile, the pre and amp are not difficult to setup or use.

That said, a manual for the pre and amp would be nice, thanking us for buying at least :snicker: after all some of us need some reinforcement.

BTW. Did I say that the volume control on the front of the pre is the BEST I have ever seen or used.
It sort of makes you want to walk up and use it.

A big +1. I brush my hand across it to lower the volume, instead of using the flashing, neon bright mute "feature". VERY smooth and silky. Love it.

Shane...dealer training or not, the damn thing should come with a manual :D I do agree though that the volume control is pretty nifty. Checked it out at a demo of the pre, stereo amp and Wilson Alexias about a month ago at a "local" (about an hour away) dealer.

Too bad the dealers are figuring out the preamp along with us.

I agree that a manual would be great, and in many ways not having one is sorta inexcusable but -- over the years as an early adopter I have become accustomed to no or bad/wrong info in manuals at first. And this is not just audio related. It happens in many industries etc. Computer software is the worst.

Joe - does yours when in mute change colors when you change phases? :)

Hi Jock

Yes. The color changes to a bluish purple when the phase is reversed.

The color changes are done by design obviously to visually inform you when in mute or when phase is inverted. I still believe Dan mentioned a way to defeat all the the lights on the front panel. An email or a call into DD on Monday should be able to clear it all up.

Dag gear is so stunning looking. I bet looking at the pre and amp while listening is a big treat.

it definitely has a sexy quality to it. it doesn't hurt that it sounds great too.

In case anyone may be looking for DD Momentum Preamp, I have listed mine for sale, as I'll need to scale down my system due to upcoming relocation. I also have available full 4-unit dCS Vivaldi stack.

I have been told the Dag Momentum preamp has switchable voltages - 100, 120, 220 and 240 volts is easily changed. Is this correct?
