[h=1]MOMENTUM PREAMPLIFIER[/h]

Only the Momentum preamplifier can deliver the sound quality necessary to get the maximum possible performance from the Momentum mono block and stereo amps.

Like the Momentum amplifiers, the preamplifier uses complementary balanced circuit topology for maximum bandwidth and low noise. Its audio circuitry is fully discrete, with no op amps. Zero-feedback design assures the most musical sound quality. Volume adjustment is made through a resistor ladder governed by an optical controller—the cleanest, most transparent possible method of controlling volume.
A 300 VA power supply in a separate chassis isolates the preamp’s sensitive circuitry from electromagnetic interference and noise. Separate supplies power audio and control circuitry, so the control circuits are completely isolated from the audio circuits.
The styling of the Momentum preamp perfectly complements the Momentum amplifiers, with copper accents to match the amplifiers’ unique copper heat sinks. The meter on the front face of the preamp indicates the volume setting, and a ring around the meter controls the volume. The front selector buttons illuminate to show which input is active. A radio-frequency (RF) remote control that works through walls is included.
Just like the Momentum amplifiers, the preamp uses through-hole construction and is hand-built and individually tested in D’Agostino’s Connecticut facility.

The pre-amp sounds even better than it looks.

I am wondering how I am going to like the sound of my system when the 8 day audition of the Momentum Pre-amp is complete next week.

Jim,

I have no doubt the Momentum preamp is adding immensely to the sound. I need a preamp in my system. I do not like what I hear as much without a preamp. D'Agostino makes SUPERB gear.

Mark

Yeah baby.

Jim, are not going to keep it ??

I am breaking this one in for Larry at Paragon. He has several sold orders and I would have to get in line. Unfortunately after having just purchased the Alexandria X2's six months ago, the Meridian 808v3 at Christmas, the Meridian MC-200 in January and upgraded to the Transparent Opus SC last week, I have shot the audio budget for the time being. In my mind this purchase would be a no brainer.

Jim

Jim,

You were so correct about the D'Ag amps, I can only imagine how nice Dan's preamp sounds. I'm really looking forward to it.

Jim, I am looking forward to hear more about your impressions of Dan's pre.

You are the Man. Your quest for audio nirvana never ceases to amaze me. Good luck with the D'ag preamp.

BTW Thanks for the friendship request.

Bob,

Thank you. I hope it shows up next month. Thanks for the friendship.

Hi Jim,

I usually don't like black gear but in this case I really wish I had ordered the black. I'm not sure why but it's growing on me.

I guess I could always sell and get the black. Hmmmm.

I saw it personally at the Audio Show and the silver looks better.
But that's me.

Maybe they could do a custom color to match my Dartzeel gear. Now that would be something. I know not everyone likes gold, red and champagne colored gear but I do. :)
