Mike's Systems

For a closer view of one of those speakers,. I can without a doubt tell you that this is the best audio room I've ever heard. Those big old honking speakers totally disappear when the music is playing. As I mentioned to Mike, everything in his room is equal to the sum of all parts as everything goes so well together. Its difficult to not get a smile on your face when the music starts playing.

Gear aside Mike, I really like your acoustic treatments! They look fabulous. Do you find that the room itself affords symmetrical placement of the treatment elements or have you found that one side (L or R) or front or rear requires extra special attention for the acoustic elements? E.g., left side of room has more electronic gear so right side gets more diffusion to compensate, etc.?

Love the selection of equipment you've assembled too. Would love to hear some of my favorite music played back through your setup.....well, maybe NOT!, it might ruin me.

Mike - both sides of the room are equally balanced for treatment, but the room has a 3 inch imbalance from left of window to right window. Crooked walls! It requires a slight tweak with speaker setup.

I've managed to tame a challenging room and actually turn it into a positive.

You're welcome over any time.

Mike, I think I am head over heels in love with your speakers. Wow!

There are some things that a good set of horns can do that other loudspeaker-types cannot. One day, when I find myself in a room that could accommodate something like Mikes Avantgarde's, I'll vie for a set.

Well said, at this time. I do not have a room that would accommodate those monsters!
