Hey Mike, how about hunting one of these down.

SHUN MOOK LP CLAMP
LP Record Clamp - A legendary Shun Mook product now begin made in a very, very limited number. This record clamp is made from extremely rate pieces of dried ebony briar. This extra heavy century old ebony root which were immersed in the swamps of Africa has a unique power that no other wood possesses. The vibration generated by the diamond style in the vinyl groove besides inducing an electroflux through the phono-cartridge also excites the ebony molecules, causing it to resonate. This in turn is feed back through the styles, causing it to resonate. This in turn is feed back through the stylus and is reparation, sharpened focus and enriched tonal balance of the music. Due to the rareness of this timber, there is no doubt that it will become a collector item in the future.

Not me, it doesn't have a cup holder:sigh:
Isn't this a cup holder?

By the way I wouldn't go for one that still needs a table to put it on. What about this one? Looks better too....

Why use a conventional tonearm in the first place? You can go for this nice Kuzma air bearing tangential arm! Now we are talking!

That's pretty cool!! I heard some kuzma tables few years ago they are very nice .
Never heard one with that arm though. I just noticed the cables coming off the back of that table in the pic I posted above. Holy crap!!!

Minus K BM-8 isolation platform is a great investment for a unsuspended table, and it may just stop you in your tracks :snicker:. If I were any of you I would try that before investing in uber tables. The biggest issue with a turntable is noise and the Minus K reduces that to insignificant levels.

If I'm not mistaken US residents can get one on loan, so you can try before you buy......... what better!

Good post! A friend has one of these under his turntable and really likes it. I've got a new, unsuspended turntable on order (to arrive by end of January) and am considering one of these isolation platforms for a later purchase.
