In case you didn't know,joe and Mike had both ordered Lyra Kleos cartridges to go with their new VPI TT's. In the meantime Mike had bought a used Lyra Delos and allowed me to try it for a few days. I was so blown away by the Delos that I called Jeff and ordered a new Kleos for myself.
I then found out that the wait time for a new Kleos can be quite long, they are hand built by 2 Master Craftsmen in Japan,and are on backorder. So flash forward a few weeks and I call Jeff to shoot the breeze and see if he's heard anything on the Kleos , like when he might get them. Jeff tells me that Joe has told him to send me "His" Kleos when it gets there :shocking: I called Joe and tried to talk him out of it, but Joe said he would rather wait awhile and that I was all set up and running. What he really did was make an incredibly kind gesture, he knew how anxious I was for the Lyra !! :heart:
All I can say is Thank You, you are such a good friend, I'm lucky to have had the chance to know you !!
Yesterday Mike gets a call from Jeff,saying that the shipment of Kleos had showed up at the distributer. Mike is #1 on the wait list, Jeff is expecting to get a few Kleos cartridges. Its looking like , thanks to Joe, that I'm getting mine too !!!! :cryforjoy:
Then......Mike copies me on an email from Jeff.......Jeff is only getting ONE !!! :facepalm: I'm so upset that I'm almost sick. What a letdown !!
Then Mike does the unthinkable.......He tells Jeff to send me his :blush: What can I possibly say to this kindness ?? I told him 'no way", you keep it, I'll wait. But Mike says no, I want you to have it, I've got the Delos to listen to until I get mine.
It's hard for me to believe that I have found 2 friends like this, I'm truly blessed !!!
