Magnepan,Sanders.....WOOHOO!!!

There is a euphonic cloud coming into the tectonic mass around NSW at the mo...sshhh...! Local reports have mentioned no debris from up high but nothing is amiss at ground level except that Korean cars insignias have apparently been de-badged & left on the ground beneath the car.....

Magtech monos will deliver unusual results!

Wow!!! My power supply has just been owned!!!!!!

Apart from wanting to break out my flared jeans, who needs more? Just jonesing to get some tube up these!

Surrealism, ........ok.

Bob, the last speakers that I owned are made in Oz, a very limited market that is occasionally impregnated with global success but very rarely! If you have the talent & the ears to set them up properly, they are exceptional & quite the bargain for what you get with the onboard amps & the room eq. My biggest "move" with these speakers was treating my room properly with the applicable acoustics treatments to realise the potential of "my space", so many don't, but, life's good in the trade-in aisle!
For me, as I acquainted my thinking with no more box, I actually was thinking why why why.... am I doing the thing again. It's a sickness i tell you......BUT! there's always the rising sun with a new format, another experience in your own space that nothing can equal, a panel for the sheer realism, a box for some of the mostest bone rattling bass, if it's done well then make an appointment at your dentist, the scope is vast & wide, life's too short to say, sheet i been there, it's also too short to chant the cool aid too. I like the disarray, I'm married...........

Nice post Kev.

* My use of the word "surrealism" in my sentence is a positive attribute; it refers to the magnificent painters of surrealism; as a beautiful visual art, like sound can be a beautiful tapestry, with a wide and pleasant color's palette.

Absolutely Beautiful System Kev!! you probably already know this, but you've got a job as a writer awaiting for you somewhere if you want. 'very enjoyable reading your comments!

Great post, Kev! :scholar: And congrats on the new speakers! Look forward to your listening impressions!:audiophile:

Thanks everyone, can't wait for these to get a good 500 hrs plus on them. As I have everything bone stock on these there are some tweaks to come yet to really hot rod the experience & make them soar. Fuses, jumpers, stands, hell just getting them dialled into the room is a biggy too. This is going to be some fun!

Thanks for the kind words.....
KEV !!!!:exciting: Luv it !!!! Wow...How is the sounds ???????Also are you using any sub ???

Paul, sorry, forgot about this. No I am not using a sub at the mo. I do have some ideas & am still undecided whether I will incorporate a sub with the Maggies as I had no idea that the 20.7's could do the bass that they are capable of. My original thoughts were going with a sub but now I'm not so sure & thats with less than 50 hrs on them. The first night I had these I just had to bathe in the energy emitting from them in the sweet-spot, well, I had the preamp on 3/4 volume, the Pure Power+ 3000 maxing out at 100% power being drawn & the furniture had bass vibrations reverberating through it. The mass loading weights on top of the preamp actually moved. It really was one of those "holy sh+t" moments. Am I happy? .... now where do I stick that fork

Kev. Yes, Better think after the brake in period. I'm so happy for you. I used to have a 1.7 & 3.6 before . they are excellent speakers. I don't think I haven't heard a better speakers in-terms of "Live music and Piano & Violin piece". I did listened the 20.7 and Rel Studio III sub together...Holy mackerel wasn't that sooooo good.

Kev. Enjoy it ~!

Very nice kit Kev, it's obvious…….Roger's amps do wonders for your Maggies !! Given the fact he designed them for the capacitive load of electrostatics the resistive load of the Maggie panel is served equally as well.

Good stuff Kev!! You must have been lucky to find the right buyer for the sgr's.

Isn't this full circle for you? You had Maggies before right?
