At last ! The wait was sooo long. But here they are in full glory. I have to say that the new convex tops and the bottom plates with integrated outriggers make surprisingly big visual difference vs the S5 mk 1 for sth that is a rather simple change. Alon Wolf, or whoever designed the S5 mk 2, had a trully brilliant idea.

A new feature: speakers come on casters now, which let you roll them out of crates and makes positioning a breeze. I wish they supplied the speakers with the kind of jack Wilson does ... oh well, maybe they will come with mk 3s ;)

After you are done, you should replace the casters with the supplied spikes:

Another new feature is a Magico beach towel ;)

The new crates are absolutely HUGE. At first I thought they have shipped me two pairs of speakers (wouldn't be too bad actually ...). You could easily fit two speakers into a single crate - they are that big !

Each crate weights back crushing 369lbs. We had to call piano movers to bring them in to my apartment ...

Adam - just remember, they will sound dramatically better after you spike them and remember to NEVER push from behind. One person on the side of the speaker to properly move them. I know you know this from your S5 days....but just a friendly reminder. They are heavy suckers!

Congrats! You have nice hardwood, will you be using the stock spikes/feet?

Sure I will - I just need to spend some time finding the pefect spot / toe-in for them. With my current work schedule, it may take a while though ...

Speakers look great and so does your room Adam. Congrats.

Congrats Adam, nice choice! Will be interesting to hear what you think of them compared to the MkIs, once they are set up and burned in.

Very, very nice Adam! The speakers and the room look fantastic!

Enjoy in good health!

Congratulations and please post your impressions when time permits, your room looks fantastic by the way.

Adam,

I'm having nightmares about replacing the wheels on my inbound M3's with MPODS or spikes. What process did you use? Were you able to install them one at a time without tipping the speaker or laying it down?

Cincy - our M3's come with the MPODS factory installed.
