I'm not saying this is the situation, I have friends who have this thing where they can't resist having the latest model. One time three of us went to hear a new flagship speaker, the brand one of us owned. Two of us thought it was a terrible audition but I think the 3rd guy had it already in his mind he would get them and eventually down the road he did. They do sound better in his room than the first audition I still wonder if the models were side-by-side if the money spent was worth it. It wasn't my money though so......
Sometimes I wonder if I'd be like that if the room and money. I feel it depends on whether I thought the "upgrae" was an upgrade. Sometimes new isn't better. I have to experience enjoyment from my gear. You have to please yourself, no matter what system you have someone will find something to criticize.
The bass impact is unmatched. The scale is unmatched. The perfection of integration due to the crossover is unmatched. The ease at which they play everything better is unmatched.
The client said the M9’s were a big step up. He could hear it right away.
