Lynx or Bobcat?

It's my understanding that Lynxes are slightly larger. However, I watched a video (on one of the TV nature channels) of a territorial fight between a Bobcat and a Lynx and the Bobcat was the victor...FWIW.

My wife and I go to a small country church and we've seen two different Bobcats on our way to church, just within a couple of Sundays of each other. One was noticeably larger. I'm guessing one was a male and the other a female (or juvenile). Beautiful cats though. They were both in the darker color phase. The smaller one was about 20 to 25 lbs and the larger one about 35 lbs.

Always exciting to see wildlife not normally seen in your yard, especially in more populated areas. Happens every now and then here in NH - fishers (fisher cats), red-tailed hawks, bobcats, red foxes, etc.

Those look like bobcats to me, due to the shorter legs, longer-ish tail, and huskier build. Tough to tell for sure since it is in "night vision" and their spotting isn't really visible.

They are bobcats, lynx have a different build structure rear leg wise (looking at Google).

I got all excited at first because they looked large to me. Then I remembered... I recently put a shim behind the camera to angle it down a little more than it had been previously. In doing so it changed the viewing angle a bit. Comparing other videos of when my dog walks through the same area, those cats were a little taller than him. My dog is about 23 inches tall at the shoulder.
 
That is definitely a bobcat, not a lynx. A lynx has a very distinct tuft of fur above the ears. You can't miss it if you know what to look for. They also have longer legs, particularly the rear legs, than a bobcat. The pelvic and rear leg anatomy is pretty different.

We had bobcats living near us when we lived outside Seattle. They gobbled several of our house-cats. I saved one of our cats from getting gobbled when I saw him run up a tree—I thought a coyote had chased him, but when I looked up the tree there was the bobcat half-way up, and our pet near the very top. After I finally got the bobcat to run off it took 8 hours before our pet came down out of that tree. Also had a couple of them walk by me when I was doing yardwork, they were just on the opposite side of a small berm I had built, maybe 15’ away. They just sauntered past in broad daylight.
