Lumin

I think the online streaming services only like/allow one session at a time.

How about if you logout of tidal from every computer or ipad/iphone you own and then try logging back in to tidal?

That may be true Joe....even if he's logged in one place he needs to confirm a log out and log in can be executed outside of the lumin just to confirm all is ok with the tidal account.

hi calloway,
can you check if you have Diagnostics & Usage set to Automatically Send and Share With App Developers?
If you don't have it on, turn it on and crash the app a few time.
This way the development team will have more information on what cause the crash.

The following link have info on turning on Diagnostic and Usage
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202100

Thanks

siuwang..i am not sure what the 'diagnostics & usage ' is...or where it is..?..and i did close out of both tidal and roon on both my iPad and iMac and then logged back in..

as crazy as it may seem it seems to be working now....i don't have any idea WHY..but , at least for now i can access my Roon/Tidal music without it crashing..maybe closing out the 2 programs on both the iPad and iMac and then back on again fixed something..will try again tomorrow and see if i am just dreaming..thanks for all your advice..Dave

Depend on your iOS Version,
iOS 8 and iOS 9
Go to Settings > Privacy > Diagnostics & Usage
iOS 5-7
Go to Settings > General > About > Diagnostics & Usage

We are investigating this issue. Meanwhile, if the Lumin app crashes, please try to use the official Tidal app then Airplay to Lumin.

Please send Diagnostics & Usage if anyone encounter crashes. Thanks.

siuwang..thanks for the tip on the Diagnostics & Usage...i DID set it up to let the developers know about future problems...I think all is well now..Dave

well...i just thought it was fixed..i accessed the Tidal section and choose 5 songs for the start of a 'playlist' and then it crashed......again...i will crash it 4 or 5 times and since i have turned the 'Diagnostics' section on maybe Lumin can help...Is there any way to make sure they get this problem looked at..?

calloway, I'm sure they are working on it if it's indeed a software bug. After all, they were just made aware of the issue over the past 12-18 hours and multiple folks from Lumin have chimed in here. Everyone needs to sleep.....

Mr. Li...how do i 'send Diagnostics & Usage' to you..I have Roon with Tidal. i add albums through the Roon website that then appear when i access Tidal on the Lumin app which then allows me to play them ...When i push the Tidal icon the system crashes and it takes me completely out of the Lumin app.Hope this helps..

how do i 'send Diagnostics & Usage' to you..

By following the instructions here:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202100

Our team has fixed a crash with Tidal browsing, but we need more time to check whether this is exactly the issue you're experiencing and whether there are other issues, and then it'll take a week or more for Apple to approve a new version.

For the time being, consider using Tidal app with Airplay. Thanks for your patience.

Mr. Li..thank you very much. will await your next message..Dave Smith. My Diagnostics & Usage is set up correctly as per your instructions...

Incredibly impressive that Lumin has a fix already for the 'bug'..the upgrade tonight seems to have corrected the problem. will play music later to see if it stabilizes..Thanks Mr. Li..I doubt there is another company that is so dedicated to their product and their customers..

Not wanting to disappoint you, but Lumin firmware 7.04 mostly enhances the experience for users who rely on sending DoP to coaxial output, and is not related to the Tidal browsing issue we're discussing.

(By the way, I'm not Li On.)
