Lumin Spotify

With the above report, along with our partner's feedback, It seems that even if a user has an account from one of those launch countries, they still need to wait for Spotify to make this feature available to them, individually. Eligible users will receive a notification.

I don’t get why they have to roll it out gradually to certain countries first?
Why not just let everyone have access if they pay for it?
Next question, why would you want it if you are capped at CD quality, when Tidal and Qobuz offer High res?

We have no information on pricing for the Spotify lossless. The Spotify premium has been increased by $2 per month commencing the next billing cycle. My Qobuz free three month trial will conclude soon. I cancelled my Spotify subscription due to the price increase, and I am not going to continue with Qobuz because Spotify is better. The end result being, I'll listen to the free Spotify and AirPlay it to my Esoteric and pass on Spotify Connect.

Spotify Lossless is or will be (at least for applicable countries) included in Spotify Premium, which has priced increased.

Unfortunately there appears to be a problem with Spotify allowing lossless playback on our hardware, even though we were certified, and we are investigating it.

I've been working over the weekend to resolve this issue, and I expect the fix to be available very soon.

Meanwhile, here's a longer list of Spotify Lossless regions, according to reddit: United States, Germany, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria, Denmark, New Zealand, Finland, Ireland, Taiwan, Portugal, Israel, Greece, Hungary, Singapore, Romania, Slovakia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Iceland, Serbia, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Cyprus, Malta, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino.

I can confirm Spotify premium works in Canada, I just signed back up to compare with Qobuz high res over the next few months. It only cost me $7.11 for the first 2 months, cancel any time.

I'm thinking about trying Spotify Connect once the lossless availability is confirmed in USA.

Hoping to hear from anyone who is using Spotify Connect on their LUMIN in the USA. The LUMIN model number, firmware and App versions would be appreciated. Also a price per month for the Premium/Connect/Lossless tier, whatever they call it, would be great.

If Spotify can equal the sound quality of Qobuz and is supposedly so much better at new music discovery as reported by so many users, then it seems like it would be worth trying.

I noticed today just how good Spotify is for the radio feature, what I mean is when you select a song you like and play it, it continues to play songs after this one is finished. Never felt the need to select anything else.
I am using Spotify connect in Canada.
