LUMIN Firmware 12 - Multi-room

You guys at Lumin are terrific. No software product is perfect but you go out of your way to listen to your customers and users to consistently improve the capabilities and stability of your app - well done!

In my immediate family, we have purchased three Lumins (1 S1 and 2 X1s). All three have been fantastic performers.

The Lumin is a music file player, not a networking device. Use the right tool for the job.
 
Basic question here...What is the process to update the firmware on my U1 and U1 mini? "Check for Firmware Updates" is "Yes" and I'd like to get to 12 from 11.5b.

Put "NO" and put "YES" again
 
I agree. Lumin service is stellar. I'm still cranking my D1 with an S Booster power supply and couldn't be happier. I wanted to try MQA and this was a great way to get it into my system and compare to my other DACs. 99% of my listening is streamed through Tidal and the DAC is a quintessential component which can really enhance listening pleasure, IMHO.

Jack, can you recommend a replacement router for my Xfinity router? I'm tired of renting mine!

You can buy the same exact models they rent on Amazon if you are using their phone service if not then one of the tri-band models that have the antenna's on all four corners. I have used TP Link successfully for years for routers but the Netgear and Asus models are more popular. But they have the same Arris models you are renting.
