Lumin App Issue

I was using the iPad 2 (The retina version) until last August. It worked fine with my modest music collections (1200 albums) from my QNAP NAS and fine with TIDAL and Qobuz.
It's definitely end-of-life though, so you may find a couple of generations newer to be supported by Apple longer.
I haven't looked at prices, but with a new 7th gen one only costing £290, I would assume there are lots available at around £100

Regarding Kazoo - I use it on my PC occasionally for controlling LUMIN works fine, but misses some of the aspects of the LUMIN App I love - it's more of a vanilla UPnP experience.
Either way, you'll need the LUMIN App for setting up your preferences, but it doesn't matter whether it's on Android or iOS, phone or tablet so most people now have a supported device.
 
I have bought an Ipad a couple of months ago to control my Lumin A1 and I was very happy.

Nevertheless let me remark that after the last updates on Android App right now I´m using my cell phone (Samsun S8) to control my Lumin with no further problems.

The last upgrades works very good. The App do not crush so frequently and works really very fluent.

I know, that's not native Lumin app, but yesterday on Linn Kazoo Tidal was visible and available as music source, but today disappeared from desktop and android Kazoo app. And the best is that my yesterday added Tidal playlist is still visible and playable from Kazoo. Anybody knows what's wrong with that? Tidal / Lumin changed something with Kazoo compatibility? Of course Lumin app works perfectly, but I need also something on desktop (Win10) too.
 
Problem solved - Tidal changed log in procedure, so not only Kazoo, but even Lumin App, and others application in some circumstances could have some troubles with Tidal availability
 
I'm not sure this is related to your case, but if you want to continue to use Kazoo for Tidal, your Lumin firmware needs to stay at Firmware 13.2 instead of the latest. The latest firmware switches to use the new Tidal OAuth login (supported by latest Lumin app only) instead of the old login (which is supported by Kazoo and some OpenHome apps).

I just tested Kazoo iOS app Tidal login and playback to Lumin hardware running old Tidal login method, and it still works for me.

Yep. Now everything is OK, but ... is there any chance for native desktop Lumin app for Win10 or even better - multi platform via web browser?
 
New owner of Lumin U1 mini having problems with android app crashing whenever I try to manipulate playlist (such as move track to begin/end of playlist). I am able to play songs if I never touch the playlist. I am using LG v30 android 8.0.0 phone. I have tried IOS app on my wife's iPad and it works fine but I don't want to have to buy an iPad to get this to work. I have tried unplugging everything, rebooting, and reinstalling Lumin app. I have read other posts about using non-Lumin apps but am a bit overwhelmed by that and would really like to get the Lumin app to work if possible. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have Lumin D2, after last firmware updates both Apple tv and Lumin, something is wrong about airplay function.

When I watch Netflix from the Apple tv I don’t have any sound problem but when I open the Youtube, sound does not come with airplay.

Do you know what’s the problem?
 
I just tested iPad YouTube AirPlay to Lumin to be working.

Please power cycle your whole network, starting from the router, access points, network switches, Apple TV, Lumin, iPad, and everything else etc.

If that does not work, please factory reset the Lumin D2 using Lumin app under About of Lumin D2.

I did everything but nothing change :(( I'm sure this is about youtube app in the apple tv.
 
I did, iPad or iPhone airplay connection is working but youtube app in the apple tv not, on the other hand Netflix works perfect!

Lumin app 7.0.9 on iOS now supports Qobuz PDF booklet. Tap and hold a Qobuz album art to see the option on album that has it.

(This functionality is also present in the current Lumin Android app).

This is a great update solution Lumin app is the best :hey:
But:mad: what is with the problem that the app is lost the connection to linn ds when the app is not active and it go on when the app is kill and restart?

The network connections are killed by iOS. Please try an Android device and let me know whether it behaves better for you.
