Oh yeah Allen, plasma definitely. :) ...Look at the latest ST60 Series from Panasonic. ...And the Samsung equivalent; F5500 Series I believe.
They are both 3D (meaning that they excel at 2D), and have tons of great features (streaming and all). And of course their picture quality performance is above all the rest, except to their brothers from the top echelon. ...And you can get them in the 50 to 65" size. ...I would go with 60" if your budget is around the one thousand mark, and 65" if you can spread that a little more. ...The bigger the better.

Plasma is the way to go. Forget about LCD LED.

Then few years down the road, put the plasma in the kid's room, and get an OLED for the living room, or family room, or home theater room, or all of the above. Prices will be totally in line with your wallet, my wallet, and all of them regular wallets.

We only live once; might as well have a nice picture, and live stress-free till we exit the world for good. ...Then someone after us will inherit our happiness.
