Let's see your ride

While there's still some cosmetic work to be done, it handles like a dream and the 1.6 liter four banger will pin you to the back of the seat if you've emptied the cargo bay. For me, this baby dances on the knife edge of performance and practicality.

Love the 'rat-rod' Kevin ! .......

Thanks George! It's a start at least. There will be plenty more to come.

So obviously, it's a Mustang. And I see a turbo superimposed on the image, so a modded 2.3L? Or boosting the Coyote motor?

Boosting a 2016 Coyote 5.0. We expect it to produce between 640HP and 700HP at the wheels on pump gas. It's a 6 speed auto.

Nice! Twin turbos I imagine.

There's a few twin turbo setups for the Z. They're capable of making similar power on stock internals, between 600-800 whp with 100 octane or E85. Freakin' stout motors to say the least!

I'm just going to keep mine NA. I'll be happy with an extra 70-100 whp. I mean, 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds isn't bad at all for a bone stock $30k V6.

George, Stillen makes a SC kit for the Z as well, pushing about 520 crank hp on pump gas with the stock pulley. A bit less than yours. LOL

Okay, not the beautiful sports cars you guys have, but I've been driving Subaru Outbacks now for a long time and still love them. Excellent for hauling lots of gear! I always do up a nice stereo in them as well and this one is the best I've ever had with even the capability to play up to 24/192 FLAC.

First real visit to this thread.

Since it's not as cool as most here, I elected to not worry about finding a cool setting for the photo of my ride.

This is my de-badged and modified WRX in front of my listening room/office building next to our house.

Incidentally, I truly hope that all the performance car owners are enjoying some track time and/or autoXing. How else can you relatively safely explore the limits of your car, not to mention the big one - your personal limits as a driver?

Oh, the stories I could tell....

My wife has one very much like yours, even down to the color.

Great cars Subaru, have driven a few myself. That maddening rush of the WRX STi is very addictive.

Went out for a little spin today. Nice little 40 mile cruise, a little sunshine, a little rain, and very little traffic.

And here's a little video clip of the exhaust in the parking garage. Kind of quiet for some reason, so turn up the volume!
