Lampizator 211's in the house!

Wow cool, let us know what the difference is wrt Airtight

The AT is warmer, more of that classic tube amp sound.

The Lampi 211 has more detail, more neutral.

That's my first impressions.

Congrats Mike. So, Kondo for Kmart shoppers?:yahoo1: Am I missing something, but it seems like you and Joe live in the land of eternal Christmas?

You need more equipment inbetween your speakers....its a little naked in there....

I'm working on a mechanism that will raise and lower racks of gear from the attic above. :exciting:

Thanks! Yes, the 211's are outstanding and the pairing with the Living Voice speakers is top notch.

Sometimes it feels like that until the Grinch hands me the bill :(

Mike...a bit off topic but have the Living Voice speakers dethroned the Strads?

Well, one pair is for sale and one isn't.

Both are excellent speakers. Hard to choose. In a giant room (like 20 x 30), the STRADS would do better. In anything smaller, it's a toss up. STRADS bass is better (more, deeper). LV tweeter is better. LV has the edge in the "natural" sounding category. LV reproduces piano better.

The Strads are also going to free up some cash because I'm also looking at one more speaker brand to carry. I've been auditioning a lot of stuff this summer. I've narrowed it down to a few. I really like the Focal's for that modern musical speaker. The LV's are for the pure music lover and because they're so efficient, they work great with just about any amp - tube or SS.

Not quite sure what that third brand will be. I'll probably make a decision in the fall.

If you are at all considering a Lampizator Balanced 211 amp, I HIGHLY recommend the GE211 tubes. They are RARE, but believe it or not, Tube Depot has just found a huge supply from one of their military sources (86 to be exact).
