Kondo Audio Note Japan new "Ongaku" review

Hi Bob,

A question to you from a pal:

The new 211 amps of Kondo are called the Kagura. It would be interesting to find out how they compare to the Gakuon amp?

Hi Norman.... more power more, refined in every sonic aspect, more expensive!

Thanks

Short and sweet and to the point!

I should be getting that demo on the last Friday of the month.
Looking Fwd to it.

Yes, let me know how the Apologue demo goes. We have decided to build an exclusive Goldmund only showroom here in NYC. Once we get the space and do the build out, we will have the Apologue Anniversary here for demonstration as well, along with an entirely new line up from Goldmund with wireless, self powered speakers with prices ranging from $20K, $40K, $60K, $100K and then the Apologue at $540K.

Bob did you see the earlier question re: Kondo and C4.1's?

Hi Bob, many thanks for posting the review. Just wondering if you have tried the new Kondo Kagura with Raidho C4.1 yet and if so, what are your impressions? Is Kagura able to drive the Raidho C4.1? Many thanks, Ash

Mike,

Thx, I had missed this post. I have swapped pm's with Ash regarding the Kagura driving Raidhos. My only experience is with the Kagura on the Kondo speakers last year and then the B/W 801's which you heard at CES. I did tell Ash that over by the end of this week I will be listening to my Kaguras, which will be returning from CES late this week, on the D3's and the S5's. But that will be short lived as my Kagura will be going to Key Kim at Stereo Times for a review. He will have them for about six weeks driving Kharma speakers and his Consensus speakers. By the time the Kagura return to my studio I might have my D5's delivered by then....March, April???
