The Time Machine Duo is built on two mirrored chassis.
Uses modified Pi wound output transformers for fully balanced DC resistance, and AC impedance, which equals very low distortion and exceptional frequency response.

CMC Teflon valve sockets, paper in oil coupling capacitors, CDM (Cornell Dubilier Mallory) & Philips cathode capacitors, Vishay thick film bias resistors,
English high voltage copper hook up wire and solid copper core signal wire, CMC speaker binding posts.
Transformers manufactured using Australian magnet wire, Australian and Japanese laminations, English and New Zealand bobbins, Australian made covers.
Chassis tops are Australian laser cut 2mm stainless steel (1.2mm SS bottom plates).

Too many tubes!

Steve - any more thoughts on the Manley 300b? Mark was asking me yesterday, but I think you were turned off Manley after the snappers. No?

no the snappers were good just a little too solid statey for me. least tube sounding tube amp i ever owned. lol.
the neo 300b's i heard a couple times and were awesome, but i wasnt as in tuned to the 300b sound as i am these days, and id like to hear them again before i say i love or dont like them. the fact that they can be run in SET or push pull mode is intriguing, but as turntable jeff once said to me .if you buy those you arent buying them for push pull.
i do love that grey blue look to manley products. in person its really cool.
those and sophias are the amps i heard that got me started on my 300b quest.

I think it's an acquired taste Steve. :)

Personally I'd love to hear their 300b monos/300b preamp combo.

Steve : Snappers sounding SS ??? Which tubes were you using with them ? They sounded a bit like that to me with the EH 6CA7 and with the PsVane Holland Replica EL34.
My experience with them is that they are very sensitive to the tubes used.
The 300B Neo must be awesome though. I do love a lot my 300B Neo Classic preamp.

i did not spend the money i should have on tubes with the snappers. but they were always temporary anyway. i wasnt sure which 300b amps i wanted and bought them instead on a spur of the moment purchase. and they never mixed well with my hovland preamp for some reason. dont forget mine were an older pair as well. there was nothing wrong with them ,just was maybe a bit powerful for my tastes made them seem a little solid statey.

on 300Bs, I'd probably try the Wavac EC300B and the Nagra 300i for SET and push-pull respectively.

both will be much faster than normal 300B amplifiers.

so...... i love these things and i dont think i can get them out of my mind until i buy a pair. there is a pair for sale with royal princess tubes in it on agon for $3500. but whos got speakers that can run on 8w.... oh i do!!!! lmao!!! :celebrate008_2:
it weird not having to worry about that factor anymore.

Steve,

I think those amazing Cornwall's III's just opened up a whole new world for you my friend!

For better or worse. :)

hahaha!!!! you know that. as joe says its a whole new world for me. there is also a 10w sophia mini for sale for 650!!! id like that too please.lol. i love having the option of big dynamics and sound of the cormwalls vs. super beautiful mids and vocals of the veneres. but the veneres cant run on those small amps. if i had say those 28w raven monos they would be perfect for them. lol. its gonna be hard just buying records and no gear all summer. maybe some small gear.lol.

guys- what is the difference between single ended and push pull in 300b's-John from Classic Audio said I should not use push pull does not sound as good as single ended??? thanks

Those are purely preferences. No right/wrong or better/worse (except for the most rabid fans). Push-pull will be more "neutral", SE will add "flavor"/"excitement", etc.
It also depends on the system...and the loudspeakers being driven. I've had/used/experienced/enjoyed excellent versions of both. Predictiing what you/others will prefer, in system X, is pure guesswork.

Microphonics. After listening to a dynamic piece, if you immediately hit stop, the sound you hear is like someone running their fingernails along the spokes of a bike.
