KEF LS-50 ... A true little gem

Tell me about it.... I am soooo tempted to just order the CJ.... but.... grrrr i do have to live with my loving wife.... and dam she just said if you want it get it....to the job :).... I assume you are not married :)....

Joe you are so funny.... If I was still back in NY I can guarantee you we would be great friends..... what part of NY you in anyway, I was upstate for a very long time :)....

Serious though, the McIntosh MXA70 was bought from Audio Classics.... in Vestal (Just down the road from Mc).... my old stomping grounds... I am original owner... he looked up manufacture date, July this year if I am remembering correct... Absolutely mint, the speakers are hooked to a Yamaha in the TV setup... gorgeous little Black Piano finished speakers... Since I knew all the same people as they did (I used to run a hi end audio store right next to where they are located) they gave me a good deal... :).... see what I mean... this is crack....

Massapequa, Long Island.

I think so too.

I grew up in Binghamton (I went to Susquehanna Valley High School, look it up, Chambers Street is a one block long street off Conklin Ave., SV is on Conklin Ave.) and lived in Syracuse for 20 years before moving out West .... but dam it is nice living on the Pacific Ocean....

Audio Classics is awesome! Love those guys. If I lived closer, I'd be there so often, I'd be a pest.

Put the MXA70 in the Fish Market: http://www.audioshark.org/integrated-systems-163/

It will not cost you anything and put retail and ask price, you might get lucky.

I am original owner... he looked up manufacture date, July this year if I am remembering correct.... it was used for a photo shoot... and they get all the open stuff from Mc..... Absolutely mint, the speakers are hooked to a Yamaha in the TV setup... gorgeous little Black Piano finished speakers... Since I knew all the same people as they did (I used to run a hi end audio store right next to where they are located) they dropped a grand off the price and gave it to me for what Mc gave it to them.... I would be willing to let it go for a few hundred less than that... to make a quicky deal.... :).... see what I mean... this is crack....

What are you going to push the LS-50's with, the Jolida or something new? If you need a small sub to run with them you might want to look at the NIB REL T-7i I was telling Randy about on AC. Just down the road in NJ.

That us a great deal on the Rel 7... I know the little T-Zero is excellent.... so the 7 is supposed to be amazing :)... just to much for my loft "man cave" as my wife calls it :D...

Hi Jack,

The Jolida is first up and I may stop there. A friend wanted them and may take them from me if he falls in love with them and I think he will. With all the LS50 talk around, I had to hear them.

I am looking at the Harbeth P3ESR for a computer setup as well. The Klipsch RP-160M's will probably end up in the office.

That REL is a great deal. Thanks!

Joe

This is the only review of the Bliss I could find and it is of the standard version. According to Bob the Silver is a significant upgrade. Give him a call he is straight forward and knows both the Reynaud and Harbeth lines inside out. I know according to their website, East End has the Bliss set up in a demo room along with the Harbeths and the LS-50, so might be worth the drive across town. Since you like SF I think Reynaud would be right up your alley and they are 90+db efficient and good down to the low 40's hz. I have their predecessor the Twin Signature in my office with a Kora hybrid integrated and love them.
