Jeff...I have a second Idea for you..would look AWESoMe...

Yo usaid you have no room left or right walls ? well, how about built ins to the left and right of the fireplace ? The whole walls ..not hard , not expensive..wiring would go through a center wood channel just below the tv..(wold be like a solid wood crossbar all the way across that could be removable for access...I coudl draw it for you right on your picture...materials could be plywood or MDF and then facia on wood like oak or maple...you could even do doors for the lower cabinet faces..it would look cool and your WIFE would love it

Thanks Cyril, love to help..I lucked out with my cabinet. I searched and searched craigslist, online for new..nothing that would fit my needs..Then one day I saw an ad for a Solid Maple handmade cabinet - Must go $250...YIKES...I raced over..The man was a cabinetmaker and had built it for his wife 10 years prior. She was tired of it and wanted it gone...Weighs 300lbs without the doors and shelves !!! But was perfect..at the time I had a Reel to Reel and wanted the roll out shelf..later the reel to reel was replaced with a record cleaning machine..That puppy is going NO WHERE...too heavy

Bay... That maybe a possibility. But I unable (bad back & such) & unskilled to do that kind of work. Also I would be the guy you would hire to destroy a cabinet :D. Also when you see the next pictures everything is quite different. No more gear to the left. As we decided last night to forgo HT.

Rob... No problem. We bought the house from my mother. My parents always talked about built-in cabinets or shelves on each side of the FP. They never got around to it. My father was the handy one, I didn't inherit that skill.

Here is a picture of our system. Little messy right now still remodeling. We need to buy a couple of HDMI cables of correct length. We are debating if we will keep the home theater part of our system. Also this summer we plan to have an electrician friend come in and install dedicated circuits. We also need to finish painting. The afghan in the right corner is draped on a box, it looks terrible but until I can afford real sound treatments it stays. The system sounds better with it there.

Beautiful system. Well done Jeff.

BTW, love the Audioshark image on the tv.

How I do that?

Josh, just go to the section you want your thread to be in, in this case Audioshark Member's Systems, and near the top is a blue button titled "Post New Thread". Just click on that, put in a header, add your info. and you're all set.

My friend, this is exactly what I did with this thread :disbelief:
