Nice system Jeff, Happy Listening........A nice use of some extra hockey pucks
Here is a close up of my 402!
Say what people will about the new line of McIntosh amps, I'd still rather have an MC501/MC402 than a 601/452. Just great, musical amps period.
Jeff, your findings may be different but when I had hockey pucks under my Martin Logan Summit X speakers, i found that removing them & using metal spike shoes with cork on the bottom gave me much more detail

Well done Jeff! Here is a picture of our system. Little messy right now still remodeling. We need to buy a couple of HDMI cables of correct length. We are debating if we will keep the home theater part of our system. Also this summer we plan to have an electrician friend come in and install dedicated circuits. We also need to finish painting. The afghan in the right corner is draped on a box, it looks terrible but until I can afford real sound treatments it stays. The system sounds better with it there.
Nice looking system, Jeff! My dad's system is very similar - MC402/C46/PMC OB1i's...
+1 - I agree with you!
Here is another set of options from Herbie's - I am using the brass cone/spike decoupling gliders on my speakers, and they really made a big difference:

Jeff...very cool system! You must be in audio heaven.
Bay...I think it's really cool that you went through the effort of drafting up a pic of the suggested cabinet for Jeff. You are an occifer and a gentleman Well done. By the way, acoustically, having equipment to the side (i.e., not in between or close on either side of the speakers) is much preferable, so good suggestion there (eventhough I have my rack and TV in between the speakers because that's the only place I have for it in my living room )
Cyril... The system sounds great. Just needs to be neatened up. I don't have anywhere else to put the gear. I've tried.
