Congrats on deciding on the Strads. Shame that both they and the 40.1's are still a ways out in terms of having them in house. Have you thought of picking up something highly thought of either used or new and much further down the scale that you won't lose much if anything on to use in the interim? I have thought about picking up a pair of these for fun at under $500 just to see what the rave review from What HiFi was all about. Haven't seen any used so shouldn't be hard to turn over if you don't like. You do have plenty of flavors of amps to try them with and at 90db should work great with the RM-10. Just a thought.

Those look great Jack. I think I have to get the Strads out of my system. I actually think the RM-10 will be awesome on the Strads with 92 dB sensitivity at 4 ohms. I know to do the Strads right, you need some power and control, but for late night listening, I'll be in heaven.

I understand that the Strad's and the 40.1's are the end game. I was just talking about an "inexpensive", yet highly thought of "place holder" since you have sold off everything in a short period of time and nothing has come in. At $500 shipped from Audio Advisor you would have music in a few days and also a speaker that would play nice with the RM and the JOB. If you don't want to "put them in the closet" for a rainy after the other big boys get there they should be an easy sell on Agon or AK.

I appreciate you concern but I am not suffering. A really great friend loaned me a pair of Raidho D1 and I'm loving the opportunity to get to know them. They are wonderful speakers for my head but not my heart. I'll have them for another month or so unless I move and don't tell him where I am :) or go into the witness protection program like I was supposed to.

I kind of do that now :)

Actually, I was thinking about these:

Meet the new AudioKinesis Zephrin 46!

Just wanted to make sure you weren't walking around the house humming to yourself.:D

Never heard any of Duke's own stuff. I remember when he was a Soundlabs dealer. Interesting concept, but don't know what the re-sale would be if you don't like them. I guess I am more conservative than most here. I need to know there is a way out if I don't like something. He does seem to be a really good guy though.

Hi Joe,

What about BRODMANN Acoustics..maybe VC7???...Also curious how they compare to Harbeths:rolleyes:

People. Please don't give him any more recommendation :D. He already has enough speakers to choose from in his brain.
