Open baffle is definitely a great design concept. I'd wager money that my Spatial Statements are going to be giant killers (if people can get over the lack of snob factor).

If they do....remember this - you heard it hear first!

Is this the company? If so, those look very nice.

SPATIAL AUDIO

How do the Holograms sound?

That's the company. The Holograms won best value of show at Axpona a few weeks ago. http://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/axpona-2014-show-report-digital-products/

The owner/lead designer has been building speakers since the 70's. The Statements are the culmination of all those years of work into a speaker he says "is the best sounding speaker I know how to build".

Audiophiles have been looking for highly efficient speakers that aren't horns, are very room friendly and have a nice footprint for years - this is the answer - I HOPE!

The designer, Clayton Shaw, and I have been I constant contact. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'm envisioning pairing these with a sweet little Woo amp: http://234mono.com

Some sweet 45 tubes.

We shall see. My Statements are due to arrive in 6-8 weeks.

Is Clayton still going to send you the "small" speakers from the show and the Black Hole to try?

He shipped the black hole on Friday. I didn't ask about the Holograms as I'm focused on the top dog - the Statements.

I understand. Would have been good though to hear what you thought about his speakers priced more on the entry end in comparison to his statement product and see what the similarities and differences between the two were to you. Maybe he will send them on to you anyway.

Yes Nick - 18 inches mininum, 36 or more inches for ideal. Keep in mind, the speakers are only 3 inches thick.

Thanks Tom. I saw them but for some reason didn't realize what they were. I'd love to hear them.

Hi Joe,

I have read most of the guys have mentioned really good options for you? Have you thought about auditioning Kawero or even Vivace from Kaiser Acoustics, if you love the ribbons then this is also quite good and more slam and dynamic compared to Raidhos if I am correct!

And also what about Vivid Giya's just the looks maybe little challenging but could be the sound signature you have been searching for???

Just my thoughts!

Regards
Alvin

I would recommend Elac , recently tried out the 243 BE , 310 and 312 and really really liked the 312
But I think the 1150mm x 2 speakers with a Jet V will sound really good in a bigger room

The Kaweros would be my second pick after the Zellaton's. Those are extremely good also, but more expensive.

Hi Alvin,

Those look great. I'll have to check them out. I guess I'm focusing on some mainstream speakers but these seem awesome.

I've always wanted to hear Elac speakers. I have friends who love them.

Wow! So many choices.

Richard at Aum, sells and really likes the Elac 407. Nothing written about it in this country, but great reviews in Europe.
