Hi Chris,

No, I don't think so but a friend wants me to hear the KEF Blades. He loves them and has a pair on loan.

Sorry; didn't read all 32 pages yet (just for Joe's speakers!). Has anyone voted for KEF yet? Blades/2 or REF5s?

Hi Chris,

Owning the KEF LS50, I think the Blades are more like TADs than other speakers...more on the resolving than the warm side of things.

That's what I am afraid of Darrin. I don't want a TAD repeat.

Then maybe the REF line is the way to go? I tried a pair of "lowly" R-300s, and am really impressed for the price.

REF5s aren't going to be cheap; ~$18k...but we know that's not really a concern for Joe ;)

I just don't want to throw money away. :P

Do you like Devores, Joe? I still have yet to hear a pair.

I have a feeling that I'd like the Devores, but no, never heard them. I should go for a listen.

Well...who knows, what will be to your great liking; but I hardly think they'd be "throwing money away". :)

Just logging some time with my 30.1s. Hey...ever tried PMC? I have a pair of OB1i, I'm practically giving away...lol.

Hi Joe,

So have you decided on your final list as yet? I'm just wondering why no one suggested the below?

The new Verity Audio Parsifal Anniversary

joe-
Saw a start-up company from nebraska (?) advertising on a-gon, their speaker for sale- birch acoustics- definitely not on your list, but just one more choice for you:rolleyes:.Who knows maybe you can discover the next "must have". As if you don't have enough choices already *L*

Thanks Alvin.

Well the next speakers are the 40.1 Harbeth. I think SF Strads are after that, but I have no intention of selling the 40's, unless they are terrible, which I doubt :)

I love the way you are looking out for me :)

Did you get anywhere on your inspection of the inside of the RM-10?

As to the speakers, I think you are on the right track, unless you find out the MR won't push either one of them. Then maybe something down the food chain, but higher efficiency. You won't be happy until you try the Strads in you house.

Hi Jack,

I have not had time to open it up. Work has been a little busy lately. I'm off tomorrow, so if not tonight, then tomorrow I'll check it out.

Yes, I'm a little obsessed with the Strads, I must confess. They need to be in my room or else I can't rest.

As you and I both know your business never takes a vacation, so I understand the busy part. Plus the heat brings out the worst in people. I finally got around to checking out the reviews on the Devore's and the one your friend has looks very promising. Might be interesting to try it and the 40.1 together and see what you think between the two.

Always easy to spend someone else's money:happy:. I do wish your harbeths would show up already though. Maybe they will slow down your desire to keep trying new speakers------- well at least for a few weeks !

Thanks Jack. Talk about Job security. So sad.

I know, I keep thinking about the 0/96's. They might be fun for a while.

Tell me about it. I've NEVER had to wait this long. It really sucks.

I have been waiting for my Nola KOs since March.

Sorry to hear about that Mark. Carl makes amazing speakers. You'll love them. My Micro Grand Ref were outstanding and my Alon Signatures with all Alnico drivers before them were awesome as well.

I have been waiting for my Nola KOs since March.

Hope your order is already in for the super shl5- should make for a nice christmas present in 2015 *L*
