I have used the JOB 225 with the Audio Physic Tempo VI and Scorpio II and the combination works very well. I can also recommend the JOB sweet cord for the power amp.I'm thinking about buying Audio Physic Sitara 25 Plus+ and JOB. I'm waiting for the announced integrated JOB which should be released very soon, so I'll end up buying either that one or JOB 225. What do you think about that combination, JOB + Audio Physic? Thanks![]()
I know you had that combination. I'm aiming at cheaper variant, probably new JOB integrated (I'll wait for reviews and comments) and Audio Physic Sitara. Our local dealer of Audio Physic said that Sitara sounds quite similar to Scorpio. Scorpio costs almost double. Dealer said - the main difference is that Sitara lacks bass - compared to Scorpio. BUT for smaller room, like mine (20 square meters), he said that Sitara is in fact a better solution. Actually, I never heard Sitara, I heard Scorpio and I was amazed. It was in a room of 50 square meters, with GamuT amplification (older power + pre amplifier combination). I don't have much chance to hear different setups here where I live, so I have to take what I can and try to reach some conclusions based on that very limited experiences and rely on opinions of those more experienced. Scorpios which I heared and loved are way too expensive for me, so I think Sitaras might be a good choice, with JOB amp which I'm definitely planning to order.I have used the JOB 225 with the Audio Physic Tempo VI and Scorpio II and the combination works very well. Me again on this subject... probably slight change of plan, cause here in Croatia a pair of used Audio Physic Tempo VI is now for sale. So I'm happy that someone actually heard them in combination with JOB, and even more happy that you confirmed that they're good match. In your opinion, what would be ok price for used Tempo VI? How old could they be, 5-7 years? Thanks!I have used the JOB 225 with the Audio Physic Tempo VI and Scorpio II and the combination works very well
Sorry to bother you, but could you please tell me WHAT MUSIC you listen?I have used the JOB 225 with the Audio Physic Tempo VI and Scorpio II and the combination works very well
Sorry it took so long to respond but I have been distracted by working too much overtime. the upside is that it helps with extra money to fuel this hobby of ours.no bother at all, some of my dearest friends are audio enthusiast/audiophiles .i listen to jazz, classical music, progressive rock and some hard rock, in fact on occasion I also listen to traditional bluegrass or any acoustic music. the Tempo VI is a very good musical all around speaker but if you crave deep bass you could eventually incorporate a pair of sealed subs to fill out the lower registers.Sorry to bother you, but could you please tell me WHAT MUSIC you listen?
I planned new Sitara 25 for JOB, but now I'm much closer to buying used Tempo VI. I listen all sorts of music, and I heard/read several times that Audio Physic speakers are very good choice for someone who likes versatile music. But now I discovered an article which states that Sitara 25 is not a good choice for hard rock / heavy metal. Maybe the reviewer is wrong, or maybe Sitara really doesn't reproduce hard & heavy sound well... but how about Tempo VI + JOB - when it comes to playing hard & heavy music???
Thank you for your answer, but my questions are not relevant any more. I had a chance to buy AP Sitara 25 and I rejected that because I realised that it would be too expensive for me and possible not totally right for me. Than I found much better AP Tempo VI for a good price, but before I made my move, the owner sold them to other - that was almost 2 weeks ago. No other Audio Physic speakers of higher quality and with good price is available to me at the moment, so Thiel, PMC and Dynaudio crossed my mind, but in the end I decided to settle (for now) with Sonus faber Toy Tower. They arrived today. By the end of this year I plan to have JOB INTegrated, and then during the 2016 to decide on cables and possibly new player.Sorry it took so long to respond but I have been distracted by working too much overtime. the upside is that it helps with extra money to fuel this hobby of ours.no bother at all, some of my dearest friends are audio enthusiast/audiophiles .i listen to jazz, classical music, progressive rock and some hard rock, in fact on occasion I also listen to traditional bluegrass or any acoustic music. the Tempo VI is a very good musical all around speaker but if you crave deep bass you could eventually incorporate a pair of sealed subs to fill out the lower registers.
Joe,
Did you try your JOB with the Lampi ?
I wonder how the Job will react to tubed output stage of the Lampi. Beeing a bit Spectal-like in design, it may not be happy to see some DC that is always present on tube gear output.
Does the Job's manual mention that ?
That is the thing. You may fry the speakers if the DC is too high. And the worst thing is, the speakers will not give you any warning signs. One day in the morning you will discover that they are fried. Quietly, overnight.
