Is Music dying?

I've been streaming for a few years now and have been checking new releases every Friday, it's my thing, what you show is a drop in the bucket compared to even just last year.
Okay if you say so. Fact is streaming is killing the music industry and many artists are foregoing streaming with their labels.

There are pros and cons with streaming. I think its a net positive. For consumers, having millions of CD quality or better songs immediately available for a few bucks a month is amazing. I wish artists got paid more for streams. I'd happily pay more if it went to artists. On the other hand, I've discovered dozens of artists through streaming that I would have otherwise never heard. In many cases, I've bought albums by those artists and/or show tix when they are in my area. I think a lot of folks have this experience, so it cuts both ways. I don't think many folks would walk into a record store and buy an album by an artist they had never heard. I understand that some don't care for streaming-there is something for everyone.
