Is it possible that I don't know the work of the ten greatest guitarists?

hahahaha!!!! ive only heard of 1 , and dont think ive ever heard him play. must be getting old.

This is so subjective. Looks like a shameless plug for relatively unknown artists of Green Label Studios if you ask me. I scrolled through some of the top 10's songs on Spotify....uh....no thanks.

P.S. I agree with Bud.....Gary Clark Jr. sounded the best of the lot.

Clapton, BB King, Keith Richards, Santana, oh yeah, and some guy named Jimmy Page.

Like Mike said, they're promoting the bands on their label. I have actually heard of St. Vincent but only because she did an album with David Byrne.

Don Ross, Harry Manx, Rob Eberhard, Paul Galbraith, Roy Rogers, Guy Davis, Jorma Kaukonen, Leo Kottke, Michael Hedges, Oscar Lopez, Eric Johnson, Eric Tingstad, David Arkenstone, Billy McLaughlin, Randy Roos, Matthew Monfort, Friedemann, ...a zillion more great guitarists.

going by the rolling stone list of 10 best, there is only 2 that are dead, #9 duanne allman and #1 hendrix. i dont necessarily agree with all of these, but they were judged by some great guitar players.
10- pete townshend
9-duanne allman
8-eddie van halen
7-chuck berry(im guessing he is still alive but im not sure)
6-bb king
5-jeff beck
4-keith richards(i would say the #1 rhythm guitarist ever!!)
3-jimmy page
2-eric clapton
1- jimi hendrix
