Internet Radio?

You have access to TuneIn Radio, not sure if you can hard link other stations. I forget.

Does the Lumin have access to Internet Radio?

Depends what you mean by Internet Radio and how you might choose to play it (meaning natively on Lumin or from another device)

The "Tune In" free app is built into the Lumin. You can also Airplay anything from an Apple device.

Thanks, but when I try the radio button it shows Internet Radio: 0
Am I supposed to download something first?

Create a free account on TuneIn via a computer or tablet, then search and save stations. Log in on your LUMIN then the stations you’ve created should populate in the app window.

Not totally intuitive but absolutely workable.

You have to create a Tune In account via the Internet and set up favorite stations. Then use the same info to log in through the Lumin app. Then the app will be populated with your choices.

I recommend WBGO Jazz Radio for internet radio. Listener supported by donations and located in Newark, New Jersey. Tremendous selection of jazz recordings from historical recordings to newer jazz artists. I made many music purchases from albums I first listened to on this internet radio station.

Joe - Good to see most of your stations are ad-free UK ones! I have those too but will try out your jazz choices.

For what it's worth, I don't need to sign up for TuneIn with my NAD M33 - it's already on the menu and any internet station can be found using Search or I can choose from a Genre list.

Hi Peter,

Thank you very much. I do enjoy those stations and do have them in my list but that’s the screenshot from LUMIN’s website. :)

I’d love to hear more about your M33. A friend has one and loved it on some speakers but not others. Right now he’s using it with a new model Sonus Faber speaker, can’t remember the model right now. I recommended it to him and hated it at first but now absolutely loves it. I think it’s a combination of break in and better speaker matching.

If you could either pm me or start a new thread on the M33, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks again!

There's quite a bit of discussion here but I'll pm you a little later - got to go out!

Well I set up an account with Tune In Radio and I still have no access on the Lumin.

Most are low res. If I want to listen to Radio Paradise I use their app which is FLAC quality and Airplay.

Most are 256K or less, typically 64-128K mp3. Some streamers offer you to hard link the station through TuneIn at typically 320K or higher. I do that with some RadioTunes stations that I enjoy.

Using a web browser, please create a free TuneIn account from TuneIn web site. Add radio stations to your account as favorites.

In Lumin app, enter the TuneIn login name. If that doesn't work, try e-mail address, and vice versa.

(You do not need to enter the TuneIn password to Lumin app.)

The channels should appear automatically. If not, try using "Update Radio Channels"

I think I have it. At least a few channels. I needed to add them as favorites. Didn't know that.
