In line with Jay, Mike & Elliot....

As part of the revolution, maybe you guys can get Joe Rogan on your team. I saw yesterday where Joe Rogan was asked why he wasn't nominated for a Golen Globes award. Rogan replied it was because he refused to pay the $500 nomination fee.

Maybe the 4 of you can contact Joe Rogan and see if you can get on his podcast which has a HUGE audience. This could help further the revolution of trying to get all manufacturers and dealers to quit supporting audio print mags, ezines, and forums with advertising dollars.
what's a Golen Globe? BTW if this is an attempt at humor it failed but it seems all of you unknown reviewers at Positive Feedback want to embarrass the nic e Mr. Robinson with some truly awful and cryptic behavior. The 3 of you widely unknown with a huge sense of self importance want to piss in everyone's pool. I have a great idea why don't you review the show and maybe in three years it will be published and no one will read it like the rest of your work.

Who is "the three of you?"

I've asked basic questions about your revolution that you say is underway and you don't like answering basic questions. This is not about pissing in anybody's pool.

it seems you want to write but somehow you can't read. Step out of the bubble and do you homework the world does not revolve around you. Hint maybe you should look who else from your company posts.

I think you need to watch Glenn Beck not Joe Rogan

There is nothing wrong with my reading comprehension skills which apparently bothers you.

Whatever.
anything that is HIGH END is sadly ellitist. Hermes, Fendi, Rolls Royce, Patek etc are High End , expensive and therefore segretory.
High End however is not just something being costly. It should be the entire experience being well executed, the product, the showroom, the packaging, the service and the performance. What we have for the most part today is not all of those. When you have muti tens or hundreds of thousand dollar product they obviously aren't for everyone, thats just reality. How it is handled is a different subject.
It seems you just want to have an argument and to be frank I don't.

I didn't get that at all, "you just want to have an argument". I thought when you answered me your issue was those who review products but keep them without returning or expect to keep them for a positive review. After your response to jmimac351 I'm not sure what you mean.

We've had discussions here before and there are other articles about how being a snob is not the proper way to sell high end gear. You don't judge a book by it's cover and you never know what seeds are planted for the future. A welcoming high end store is what sent me on my way once my budget improved. In turn, a jerk can do damage to the experience.

FWIW, I know you but I'm not sure if you know me. I've been in your room several times. I've always found you to be a nice guy and didn't come off elitest.

I did pose this on the other forum. If the goal is to take down the old regime, what does the new regime look like? I empathize with dealers in all of this. It seems that dealers really need to take their manufacturers to task, and stop playing ball with these guys, as to not put their distributors and dealers in these difficult positions.
I would assert that most customers whom are really going to be shelling out the dollars for mid to high high end components are already aware of conflict of interest and make their own critical analyses independent of reviews. Drama is great content, and reviews are entertainment.
As a consumer, I want to know what is actionable here?
(And by this, I mean what is actionable for dealers?)

perhaps posting is not the best way to communicate. I am always available at my place of business and I answer my phone. Saturdays are not the best time however. I have explained this in my videos as well.

keep watching I choose to play on my home court. I prefer to speak that is my prefered method.

As a consumer there has to be a way for manufacturers to show what they have. That's where magazines, print or online, social media, come in very handy. Audio websites can be a source of information and sharing but it can also be a place of conflict and confusion.

Not many people wander into a store just to see what's there. You usually have an idea of what you want to see. There has to be something to provide that idea.

no one is saying that they shouldn't however that is reporting and advertising NOT reviewing and for me not much value. Two things can be true at the same time. If they give you value then you should support them.

I'm curious of Mike's view on this. For him, it has seemed less of a battle, and more of a functional business issue; if it doesn't work, don't use it. Do dealers need to have more independent support from manufacturers for marketing, and stop putting dealers into the crosshairs of the current marketing institutions? Do they need to step up and decrease the capital risk of their dealers? And whom do they really want their dealers to be? I think these are the questions?

Great video. Get back to the old days. Stores like Best Buy ruined retail and yet today people don't realize they are just a glorified warehouse, no customers service or support. I will do without rather than spend a pennyion one of those. An area store brought out my ACS10 for me to hear. I wanted it. He wouldn't give a discount. I bought it still because how can you put a price on getting to hear that piece in your own system? I would feel like a total weasel if I bought one online someplace at a discount after him doing that for me. Same thing in a store front, they are paying for your experience to walk in and look/listen, touch, pay salary etc. How can you buy the item online after that? I know some don't care but it just isn't right, that person deserves BB.

In fact, I had an issue later, the same guy came out long story short it wasn't the ACS10, another piece had a bad USB port. That type of support is worth a lot. What if I had bought the ACS10 online who would I have to turn to when I had an issue?
