the K01XD worked very well connected to the PC Gigawatt P14 EVO with a Gigawatt LS2 EVO power cord. i had the opportunity to buy a omega QR at 4000 euros (demo, like new). And I was very desappointed by the result. the music became flat. I know omega QR is very good but in my system , it did not work. Maybe the technology of the gigawatt is different than the techno of the Denali conditionner. Maybe be the filter of the omega QR, maybe the shield is different on the Omega...etc.

I finally sold my omega QR at the same price.. And it helped me to change my loudspeakers.

Concerning the VUK-K01XDSE, i think the upgrade is not possible anymore.

Probably with another power cord than the LS2EVO, the K01XD would work better. That's the reasons of my questions above concerning Acrolink PC...etc

Buying a new K01XD would be very expensive. I don't say i will not do it later (or a grandioso K1X SE). Today, I think, to get a K01xd se, i will need to sell my k01xd and add 15000 euros more. it's not the price of a (used) cable.

I think the days of spinning physical discs are over...the way of the future is N1/N1T.

I have N1T + D1XSE + G02X which on paper is supposed to be the flagship and better than N1 but Esoteric told me in most systems most people will not be able to tell the difference.

So , one or 2 months ago you encouraged me to sell my K01XD for a K01XD SE and now you say the days of spinning discs is over... :rolleyes:.

Would you recommand me to throw in the trash all my SACDs?

and are you sure it's possible to have the same quality of sound via internet ?

Because the price of the unit I showed you was much less than the price you were talking about...but then you questioned the shipping cost despite it being free shipping...

It' s not generally a good idea to buy on ebay, and you should know it's very important to transport such a device on a pallet. and it cost a lot from japan to europe, it's not free. but i know some pros who are ready so ship a K01XD/K1X without pallet....:rolleyes:

Concerning k1X/N1, chatgpt point of view:
"the major advantage of the K-1X SE or K01XD is precisely its access to the vast SACD catalog, whereas the catalog of DSD files is much more limited."
"the SACD catalog is much larger, especially if you are looking for older albums, audiophile reissues, or releases from specialized labels. And there is a second issue: even when an album is available both as an SACD and as a downloadable DSD64 file, there is no guarantee that the DSD file uses the same mastering as the SACD."
An SACD player still have assets in my opinion

By the way,Esoteric continues to improve them: K1X LE N today, and tomorrow K2?

The SACD classical music catalog is especially rich.
