If you saw the early pictures of Dan's new upcoming monster amp, you might pass out as my wife and I almost did (i.e., what a beauty!), but we are only able to share with you a picture of the meter (thank you Bill from D'Agostino). To put it into perspective:

Meter is Approximately 7" in diameter x 3" deep

1500W into 8 ohms
3000W into 4 ohms
6000W into 2 ohms

Stay Tuned.

According to DD himself, $250K to $270K per pair with 30 pair spoken for before they're even in production!

Oh, per pair, at first I thought it was each.. heck only $270k a pair... I'm thinking Joe should get 'em and let us know how they sound. :exciting:

I cannot wait to see a pair. I would love to hear them on the WAMM speakers.

Can Dan make an amp so heavy that even he can’t lift it?

I can’t get my meter needles to move now, I cannot even imagine having more power.

While the amps will be there, I believe they will only be on static display (according to Bill from DAG). My wife and I are still going though for the launch as the Munich show is killer and maybe we can convince Dan to hook them up off hours. ;-)

Look forward to the pictures and comments from those attending Munich. I may have to do RMAF this year to see/hear them (assuming Dan and Bill decide to showcase them in Denver).

I do remember those monsters. I guess you answered my question :)

I never heard the old MRAs, but saw a pair in the late 1990s in Taipei (I couldn't get the store owner to dig them out and hook them up). I did though hear the KAS models back in the day when I was already lusting over a KSA-250. The KAS just upped the ante significantly and made me realize what could be done and how much I would never have the opportunity to own.

I heard the Relentless amps will be "over 600 lbs." each, so they might or might not be heavier than the MRAs (which I think were 685 lbs. each).

They will though be a little smaller at approximately 24" W x 31" D x 10" H if that helps you fit hem into your listening room. ;-)
