This forum was recommended by a friend who shall remain nameless* who suggested I might find it preferableand more "mature" than several other of re Audiowhatever forums I've been posting at.

I'm not really a "hi-end" guy. I'm more of a upper mid fi/vintage/HT kinda guy who is trying to survive on a pre-retirement income.

I have, however, been playing with these toys since the early 60s, when I learned a bit repairing old radios and made my first primitive amp from the guts of two old All American Five radios. I've picked up a few tricks in that time.

So, I hope to help when I can, learn what I can, and laugh (and make others laugh) wherever I can.

I do have one question: How can I upload an avatar?

*At least until find out you aren't gonna run me out on a rail!

Welcome Lefisc! :)

Thanks, I am about to post something about myself.

By the way, i have been to Vancouver and Vancouver Island and found it to be one of the most beautiful civilized and cleanest places in the world, with the friendliest people. I went to the gardens, wax museum and even took an airplane trip that took us over the now dormant volcanoes. Just terrific.

Awesome man! ...I could write several books about the Island, but I won't!

* Victoria Butchart gardens; I used to live straight across.
- Nice people are everywhere, even in the countryside, in Quebec. :)
- Vancouver Island is a beautiful island indeed, with some amazing trees and all that jazz...

** I flew all over Vancouver Island (from all type of planes and helicopters), and over the Queen Charlotte Islands as well.
{I planted trees as a professional tree-planter for the most part of my life; roughly thirty years, with over two millions of them to my credit; with some as high as anyone can get high.}

Like I said, I could probably write an encyclopedia on my life's experiences with nature and all that jazz, but I just won't. :D

Just in case someone didn’t get my pun. Froggy the Gremlin was a running character, a puppet, on the Andy Devine show (called “Andy’s Gang”) he was a bit of a scary character!hiyagreen.jpg
