Stenheim, CH precision and Zensati made a mutual effort during the show, hiding in one of the more secret rooms housed inside one of the major exhibition halls. Dynamics, scale and attack was prominent in the largest presentation to date from Stenheim debuting their Reference Statement speaker system.

Well, I do focus on the rooms and systems that stood out to me - one way or the other. Also, I did skip some rooms with the camera. The Kondo Audio Note/Living Voice room is one of a kind - repeatedly year after year. I'm leaving that one out as it's becoming tiring to report the same thing every year
, but also that price and size leaves it outside most minds and budgets.

Mark Levinson gave a very trustworthy presentation during the show along with Revel and JBL in a room that was well attended over the weekend. Premiered at the show was the new 536 monos, which was demonstrated side by side with the new integrated amplifier 585 - which was a popular discussion topic in the corridor outside.

TW Acustic's amazing turntable Black Knight was showing off at the top of the pedestal in a room shared with Cessaros horn speakers. The unique electronics - including the monos- are custom made by Ypsilon for a customer with very specific requirements.
Hyperion, any feedback on Geoff Armstron's room with the cutting edge Computer audio front end (with Regen device on USB), Lampi B7, AudioPax amps and AvantGarde speakers? Did you hear the front end with and without HQ Player set to realtime priority? I am hearing great things…

Raidho has in a relatively short time managed to establish themselves as one of the most innovative manufacturers on an obviously very competitive market. The Danish company offers a full set of models in three series (X-C-D) who all share the qualities that we have learned to associate with Raidho - HiFi & Music in absolute union.
Kaiser Acoustics unveiled a maximized version of their amazing Kawero Classic speakers over the weekend with external crossovers. Together with four mono amplifiers from Swedish Engstrom & Engstrom (The Lars) and D / A conversion from Total DAC, they created one of the shows most talked about, seductive and touching experiences!

What would you like to know more specifically? I can start out by saying that this is my personal favourite speaker after having experienced quite a few of the usual suspects in my own well known environments and systems for the last couple of years. Add to that the compactness and world class finish (with a lot of options). It's also easy to drive.

How is the tweeter? Smooth? Clean? Bright? Edgy? How would your describe its sonic attributes (musical? Clinical?). Is this a speaker that would be problematic in some rooms (due to bass)?
I love that it's very efficient and the external crossover option is outstanding and beautifully packaged, not to mention the plethora of gorgeous finish options.

The (custom) RAAL ribbon tweeter is extremely natural sounding (sweet, smooth and organic) and never, ever bright or edgy - far from it. This tweeter is also used by Nola btw (another favourite speaker manufacturer of mine). The Kaiser's definitely belongs in the "musical" category being polar opposites in most aspects to Magico for example (sorry fans
. The bass woofer and configuration is optimized by Kaiser upon order in relation to the specific room characteristics of the client. It can also be changed and modified at a later time if/when moving the system to another room.

I haven't listened enough to Gauder to have a clear opinion. I do consider Gauder to represent a rather different ideal though. The ceramic drivers will give you some specific characteristics after all.
Zellaton's are excellent performers as well based on the experience from the recent Munich shows. Truly world class. Zellaton's in general are a bit harder to drive though, which might leave out most tube amps. A part of the characteristics of the Kaiser Classic at the recent Munich show is due to the upstream electronics after all, being tube based to a high degree. Zellaton is most certainly one of the very best speakers on the market for the typical solid state fan searching for the most natural presentation possible without loosing a high degree of definition, control and bass capabilities.
Verity are wonderfully musical speakers. I'm not sure if they can compete on this rather elevated level though in relation to the current competition... I did LOVE the Parsifal Anniversary/Reyimo presentation during the show though (at a lower price point). Just wonderful.
I can't agree with this clearly biased statement. Comments like this are misleading at best and a disservice to anyone considering Magico speakers, much like the inane "left brain" comments made by some other members.
