HIFi Five youtube channel

Yes, me too. The old venue and March dates were great. Beautiful and comfortable hotel. I understood that the hotel refreshed their rooms and were no longer willing to move out all the furniture. No one will get frostbite in Dallas in July. Ugh.

I’m sure the new hotel they picked will be nice and perhaps the dates were all that was available at that hotel for 2026? I really enjoy the city of Dallas, but July is our family vacation time, so unlikely I can go this year.

Yeah - and July isn't even our hottest month!

The good news is Dallas (unlike Houston) is usually a much drier heat and everything has seriously powerful a/c here.
 
FYI _ i have withdrawn from the HIFI Five.
I started this show to do a specific task and I think I have pealed the scab off and people can see what's underneath if they choose too.
I did not want then nor now to adversely effect my friends and business partners. There is a lot of reaction to what was said. I am not going to go further just know that I am not fearful but it is not for me to encourage or allow my friends to be effected because of my views. THis sucks but it is happening.

I will do my own stuff in the future and hope some will join.

I'm very sorry that you won't be on the panel going forward-your participation has been essential to the success of the show. Easy for me to say since I usually found myself in agreement with you, but even when I disagreed, I found your views to be thoughtful and considered. This is listening to music, its not religion or politics, and its too bad that a rational discussion can't take place without emotional reactions.

Thanks for your contributions. Those of us who are not in the business but are avid enthusiasts have benefitted from your participation in the show. Well-done.

So, you got blowback from industry partners/people who felt you were causing harm to the high-end and you felt pressured to quit the Fab 5?

Thank you Elliot for furthering the uncovering of the truth. It is sad but not unsurprising you have faced this blowback.

There are people both in the industry and on the forums who viscerally react to the truth being told about the industry, magazines, shills and certain companies.

Thankfully the only people they are deceiving is themselves - people are now both wise to the culprits and those on the forums trying to cover for them.

Thank you again for all the hard work and time you put into the HiFi Five.

The real story is you caused problems and were pressured to quit the Fab 5. And no, I don't follow any audio related YouTube channels. I'd rather watch grass grow than listen to a bunch of meatballs with microphones.
