There are so many well known albums - Fleetwood Mac - Rumors, Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon, Dave Brubeck - Time out, the list goes on and on....But what is one hidden gem in your collection (just pick one per post) that just doesn't get the respect it deserves?

I'll start...

David Sanborn - Straight To The Heart
As a sax player myself, it just doesn't get any better than this.

Hi Bradley,

I got some Koko myself, but not that particular album just above.

Hidden gems? Like truly hidden, some' that you've never heard of in your life? ...Then, perhaps you should ckeck Andre's New Age music thread (Mr. Acoustat).

You guys/gals all know Rory Block (Blues) right?
...And Lucinda Williams (Folk) right?

There seem to be some Black Keys fans here, so I submit this hidden gem. Dan Auerbach, guitarist/singer of the Black Keys, put out this solo effort a few years ago.

Killer version of "Fever" on this one.

Oscar Peterson - Tracks

This album is just Oscar Peterson and a grand piano. No other instruments.

I read that the lower notes of the piano had to be tuned after each song because Peterson insisted it always sound like a upright bass. You can occasionally hear him breathing and really getting into the songs. What a talent.
