Hi Folks

i've been involved in this hobby for 25 years. My speakers turn 10 years old next year. Have joined this forum to explore the options. My short list includes Raidho, Wilson , and Magico. What else?

Looking forward to the discussions.

Welcome to AS Cincy2 :hi:

What are you looking for in a speaker. You have excellent front end and I am assuming that's going direct into monos as I see no pre listed in your signature. Lots of Raidho, Wilson and Magico owners here so you should be able to get a lot of feedback on those but hopefully there will be other suggestions as well based on the sonic traits/characteristics you are looking to get in your new pair of speakers.

Hi

No preamp. Nice clean input direct from DAC to ML53's. I moved last year into a new home with dedicated 15x20 music room. It's well treated but the 800's are a bit much for it. I love detail and wide deep sound stages. Mostly classical music and acoustic jazz.

Welcome Cincy. You'll find lots of great people here.

if you are interested in Wilsons, Mike's Alexias are practically new and at a great price.

Sounds like from your list that Raidho will best fit your requirements. Other options to consider that deliver amazing staging and detail include Verity Audio and Audio Physic. Both speakers disappear seamlessly. But from your lis, my guess is Raidho best fits your criteria and your musical preferences.

Cincy - I own the Raidho D3's. You can come and hear mine.

Welcome!

I'm not a fan of Wilson speakers. I had several models in the past and always found myself with something that didn't make me happy. However, Raidho and Magico are totally different. I owned Magico Mini II and was somehow happy until I listened to Raidho. I started with Raidho D1 and became an instant fan and happy listener. Then I upgraded to C3.1 and just after I bought these beauties the model D3 V2 came out and did't hesitate to upgrade. First version of D3 was not my cup of tea, V2 is very different. Right now I'm selling model C3.1. You can see my ad in Audigon with my ID rata3. Don't hesitate to go for Raidho, they have a wide variety of models depending on your budget and your needs.

Happy speakers hunting!

Carlos

Welcome Carlos. I agree, the Raidho D3 v2's are very special.
