Been lurking for a bit and have learned a bunch on here so thought I would introduce myself . I have lived in Tampa since 1955 , I was 2 at the time . Moved here from Massachusetts and brought my parents with me . First got involved with hi fi in 1973 when I bought a 25 wpc Pioneer receiver , PE turntable and large Advent utility's . From there it just kind of went nuts . I have built maybe a dozen kits , I started with a Heathkit and just finished building Bottle Head 300b mono blocks and a pair of 6 wpc mono blocks of Nelson Pass design . After going with high power amps and such I have now gone to the dark side with low power amps and high sensitivity speaker designs . To me this combination sounds good at lower as well as higher volumes and the midrange is top notch ( if the midrange isn't right nothing is ). I like tinkering and building stuff and there is a lot of dyi stuff in this area . Sorry to ramble a bit here so time to sigh off .....Cheers , Brad

Welcome to the friendly forum :) I have fond memories of trips to Tampa in my younger days !

Welcome Brad, so I see you , myself and the Corvette are all the same age !

How about that crazy weather Tuesday afternoon !

Welcome to the forums. My friend called me from Tampa yesterday who is on vacation from my area, he said it was cold there and he couldn't do any fishing or anything he normally does.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys . I kind of lost touch with this forum for a bit .
