Hello Mike & greetings to you all from Down-under.
I am an avid audiophile with a commissioned McIntosh rig. I'm always learning from others and where I can, do enjoy passing that knowledge & experience onwards with a bit of fun as I chill-out & listen to what is playing. Vinyl & HT is where I tend to gravitate. I have been working on a CAPs project & have an awesome Studer A810 that is in desperate need of some software.
The constitution appears friendlier & more relaxed here, yet familiar personalities. Is it because the philosophy at AudioShark is genuinely committed to respectfully candid discussion in the true sense & definition of a forum for the benefit of the membership as consumers?
A couple of months ago I contracted the flu & ended up taking a step back from participating online. As a consequence, I resigned my aficionado stripes, so to speak. For the past couple of years I was quite the legendary audio/video customer & had purchased considerable pieces to progress my rig. Like you do...
So, I am not here to shop, nor to be offered kickbacks for comment, nor to be moderated without cause to reflect a commercial or sponsorship agenda. If there is an affiliation with that sort of activity here, I will not want to stay & expend time. I get the impression though, that AudioShark have an absolute mission which if indeed is truthful, would be comforting.
I'm in the IT business but I have no affiliation or commercial interests in the a/v industry therefore have no disclosure to raise. My bias may extend to what I own & what I have experienced. That & everything else is opinion for your interpretation.
Sincerely,
Steve
