I been using a HK Citation 2 for the last 12 years... It sings, but I had to purchase a VAC pa 160, so it is an improvement over what. I had in detail and clarity. of course it is 20 years old so I am sure I will some advice to keep her running. pre amp is a rennisaunce triode pre.. yeah vintage because It's what I can afford. VPI Classic. turntable, Manly phono pre, esoteric cd player, probably sell it because I don't listen to cd often. and a Tascam 32, I like it because it sounds good and I get a long listening time. Anyone have this gear?

Welcome Kelly! Looks like you're having some fun with that gear. Older + newer can bring surprisingly great sound. I too run a VPI Classic turntable and though there are better decks, this one sound wonderful to my ears. No reason to change at this point in my journey. Happy listening.
