This week, after a long wait that was further extended due to the war herein the middleeast, my Wadax Studio Player finally arrived.
It has taken the place of the MSB Premier, which has served me faithfully over the last few years.
Even from the very first listen, the WADAX reveals the DNA inherited from the company’s Reference series. There is a sense of naturalness and flow that is rare to find in the digital realm. The soundstage is wider and deeper, with bass that is rich in texture and detail. The highs are completely free of digital artifacts, and the midrange holds its own even when compared to analog.
All of this makes me want to experience my entire music library all over heaven—and this is with the unit being brand new out of the box.
