Hey everyone!
I'm Ryan. I am a 14 year old amateur audio engineer, reel to reel lover, guitarist, and audiophile in general! My favorite machine is my drop dead gorgeous serviced TEAC A3340S, a 10.5" 15 IPS reel to reel that you can record four mono tracks on and sync them together to make a multitrack band recording! So, just wanted to introduce myself.

@joeinid Yes, they are fun! Thank you for accepting my friend request! You have quite the audio system! I have my TEAC A3340S, Roberts 997, Akai 1720L, a broken Roberts 1725, Pioneer VSX-49 receiver, and Epos ELS-3 speakers.

It’s great to see another reel to reel user/lover. We have a few other members here who also love/use tape decks. Some love it more than vinyl. I’m a little too lazy and either stream music or play it through my network.

I am happy to see you as such a young audiophile. We need guys like you to keep up the hobby. Most of us here are old farts. :)

Ya'll aren't old! I am an old soul Mr. Joe. I like 60s music, the Beatles, etc. I like R2R better than vinyl! It's just a super nice format! I love it! Vinyl is just a pressing of a metal disc with tree sap on top with grooves cut into it. Tape is oxide iron rust on a strip of polyester tape.
