Hi everyone -

I've been lurking around for quite a while and have found a great group of folks here on AudioShark.

I've always been into music but have recently gotten more into hifi and stereos as my budget allowed. I'm 33, a logistics professional, and also into cycling.

My musical preferences tend toward non-vocal or minimal vocal music, especially electronic. I also really enjoy reggae, jazz, blues, and any hybrid of them all!

My primary listening room is 11x13x8 with suspended hardwood floors and drywall. I have 4x DIY acoustic panels (4'x2'x8" filled with rockwool insulation) at the front corners and 1st reflection points. I have the speakers set up on the long wall.

Sources are vinyl via Technics SL-1700 w/ AT OC9/II, digital via LH Labs Geek Pulse Sfi (soon to include the Geek Source), preamp is Nikko Beta 40 (using internal MC phono stage), and amps are Clones Audio 25pm. Speakers are Focal Chorus 816W (Special Edition).

Just thought I'd say "Hi" and say how much I enjoy the forum!

Phil

Hi Phil, welcome to AS.

Any audio dealers in Asheville?

There is one - Harmony Interiors - but they're more focused on lifestyle, home integration, etc. No dealers like you'd find in larger cities. I've actually thought about writing a business plan for one.
