your SP Ultra 5's - do you just use the 5's on their own or with the optional base? Do you know anyone who actually uses the optional bases? If so what differences vs not using

If you could post on the StillPoints thread that would be great because Mike is wanting to order for his Wilson's and asked me that question.

I only use the 5's as they come

the base is not needed unless you want to raise the component higher. I see no need for them with use under speakers, IMHO. They do not provide any additional sonic benefit.
