I just stumbled on this forum and look forward to chiming in! I'm a pretty hard core audiophile who enjoys vinyl, tubes, and planar speakers. It was in me from the young age of 15 when the first thing I ever bought with money I made from cutting lawns was a Fisher Receiver/TT combination that came with a pair of bookshelf speakers. My main system currently has Maggie 3.7is, Mye Stands, Carver Black Beauty 305's, GAT Preamp, VPI Classic 3 with 3D arm and Koetsu Rosewood Signature, Roadrunner/Eagle, Conrad Johnson Premier 15 Phono Preamp, Bobs Cinemag SUT, Modwright Modded Oppo 105 CD/DAC, Shunyata Triton/Typhon, Shunyata Python/Anaconda Loom, Synergistic Research HFT's, 3 FEQ's, Still Point Apertures, Tube Traps, Mapleshade Plinths. I'm sort of a set up freak, and a big fan of Jim Smith and all his advise. So everything is dialed in with laser beams and tape. This summer I'm fortunate to be able to build a sound room over a new garage and my hope is to create a no holds barred dream system from scratch. I'll be needing all the help I can get and appreciate all the advise you guys can offer. Thanks!

Thanks for the warm welcome! This is a fantastic site and glad I found it. Can't believe some of the incredible systems that I'm reading about. Btw, about my name; Ted is my Bernease Mt Dog and Tag is my Doberman. Both are dog audiophiles with excellent hearing and enjoy listening to music with me.

Hi Ted, welcome to AS! You have a sweet system. Where in Georgia are you? I live in the Lake Oconee area.

Hi Mark,

Oconee is beautiful and I've been there many times. Great bass fishing! Your system looks terrific. My home base is Atlanta but I've got a place at Lake Burton in Rabun County and spend as much time up there as I can. The picture under my posting name is the view over my left shoulder from my listening couch. Pretty fortunate to have that! Especially with some Rachmananoff spinning on the TT.

Spotted Bass are starting to bite. I'll be heading out in a while to try my luck! Seeing your Cadenza Bronze, I'm tempted to drop mine in the tonearm and enjoy it for a while. Right now I'm listening to a Koetsu Rosewood Signature retipped by Soundsmith and it was pretty hard to dial in. But its finally about perfect and I'm not quite ready to go through the set up process yet. But that OCB cartridge is just too good for the price. When I had it set up before the soundstage in particular was huge. Also, I've heard great things about your Manley Chinook not to mention the Avenger. Really nice front end!

Welcome to AS Ted! Nice system!

You will find that this is a super friendly site. Feel free to ask and share.
