Hegel H300 Review

After talking to Devialet we did as they suggested by reloading the firmware on both SD cards. We have just played it with the Dynaudio Temptations and it's driving the over a 100db with the volume at -10. But they are 90db efficient but a 4 ohm load. Can't test again with D3 until Tuesday. At The moment the Devialet sounds better than anything I have in my shop on the Temptations. Will test Tuesday and see if Devialet recommendations fixed the problem.

I was just reading about the Devialet and the SAM technology.
 
Devialet swears up and down that the 800 Will drive the D3 all day long with no problems and there has to be a firmware issue. So come Tuesday if it's not driving my D3 properly I will send it back to them for repair.
 
SPLguy, yes, you can add a powered sub to your Hegel H300. It has a set of unbalanced pre-outs that you could connect to the sub of your choice via interconnect cables. Alternatively, some subs work extremely well using a high level connection via speaker cables. This wouldn't draw any power from the Hegel, but would be just used to get the signal and then the powered sub provides the amplification.
