Man, it's getting tough to continue waiting on my new turntable. I ordered it last month and they told me it would be near the end of January, but damn, I want it now! :exciting: What I should have done was buy the new phono stage first, then ordered the table, then I would at least have something new. With my QB9 on the waiting list for the latest upgrade and the wait for the table, I'm in a holding status that won't change any time soon.

Misery loves company, so I'll join you, Steve! Waiting for my speakers/amp to get to me as well. Delayed until next week at best.:S

I hear you- my new Brinkmann Bardo is staring at me in the box while I await an analog friend to have time to set it up this week or next!

Now I did it! I changed the platter option to a solid copper platter. I'm sure that will extend the wait time even further! Oh well, I'll be going on vacation soon anyway.

Steve...sorry I may have missed it but what did you get for a new tt and phono? Thx

Cyril, I'm replacing my VPI Scout with a TTW GEM. It will come with a 40 lb. (?) copper platter, rim drive, external motor and controller and a standalone adjustable VTA pod for the tonearm. The tonearm is the 10 in. Jelco 750E with some added brass bits. I'm guessing on the platter weight, as that is the weight of the new copper platter for their less expensive model and they haven't advertised yet for the new platter for the GEM. I should be one of the first with the new platter design on a GEM.

Later, I intend to purchase a Pass Labs XP-25, to replace my BAT VK-P5. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my VPI nor the BAT, but I am intrigued by the rim drive TTW and want the Pass for the convenience of front panel knobs for cartridge matching. Plus, it should look stellar next to my Pass Labs preamp!
