That doesn't look like a NOS Telefunken? What about the late '50's early '60's Mullards, or the Upscale Audio favorite Philips 5R4GYS, orthe various 5UG4's, etc?
 
Those are NEW current production tubes. I am curious how they fare. It would be nice to be able to enjoy current, non-exotic, inexpensive tubes.
 
Where is this BARN you speak of?!?! I can fly out to Geneva, enjoy a long weekend and still be ahead if I come back with carry on full of those rectis!
 
I think they're waiting for me at the post office now, Joe. The package required a signature, but we work during the day... I'm going to try to hit it in the morning and fetch them. They won't do me much good for the moment, as I've enjoying a Lite 7 (ss recti) until my own Golden Gate comes in.

Not so easy Fred, It took me literally Days scouring thru 1,000s of tubes to find the needle in the haystack. I have not been there in months and he may have gooten new stock. A single weekend would not be enough to find the rarest jewels...unless you are very lucky.

Many, many hours of blackend fingers to find the good stuff, but patience and persevereance pays off. LoL
