I have several hundred hours on my Gryphon Diablo 300. I've been using the Aurender N10 with it. The Gryphon Diablo 300 is absolutely superb. Phenomenal. Incredible. You really feel like you're listening to big ass monoblock amps and a preamp. Incredible authority and control. It has this chocolatey rich gorgeous seductive sound.

I LOVE THE SOUND!!!! ❤️

Hi Mike,

Is the amp Class A/B? How many watts in Class A?

Best,
Ken

Yes. 300 watts in 8ohms. 600 watts into 4ohms.

Amazing.

I’d love to have a second system with the Gryphon Diablo 300 for an integrated amp and Magnepan 20.7 or 30.7 for speakers. Two dream systems!

I would love to hear more about your thoughts. Apologies if you've already posted about it. I'm behind on my reading.

My 300 drives Magico S3 Mk IIs from a Proceed CDP/Oppo UDP-205. I play mostly large scale classical music and jazz. The 300 replaced a Mark Levinson 331. My impressions are similar to yours. Tremendous control and dynamic ease. On the musical side of neutral (but not lacking resolution), which appeals to me for the type of music I play. Better defined sound stage. Unique design is a 'like' for me. Difficult to comment much further now, because I'm experimenting with speaker placement, cables, and front ends.

Mike.......Sweet.

I think I could easily replace my McIntosh C2300 and MC452 with the Gryphon Diablo 300 and be perfectly happy. It is beautiful to look at, too.

Am I the only one who is not getting audio on the video?

Ken, according to Gryphon, up to 15 watts in Class A.

Mike, wait till you hear the Mephisto... but, with the Diablo 300, you don't really want for anything more. Huge dimensional sound, detailed without being analytical.

Btw, how is the Blade 2 sounding now that you have had more hours on it?

Hey Mike - can you compare/contrast the Gryphon to the Ayre AX-5 Twenty? They seem to be quite different sounds.

I don't have the AX-5 Twenty. I have the KX-5 Twenty and VX-5 Twenty.

It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the KX-5, VX-5 Twenty combo vs the Diablo 300. The AX-5 Twenty sounds pretty similar to the KX-5, VX-5 Twenty combo according the Michael of Ayre when I corresponded with him.

I'll plead the 5th on this one. [emoji6]. They're both good in their own way (my PC response).
